Secretary of the College Los Angeles
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Secretary of the College (“Secretary”) serves both as the corporate secretary of the College and the board secretary. Playing a central role in supporting the Board of Trustees, the incumbent is custodian of board and institutional records and manages records-related compliance obligations with the guidance of General Counsel; and works closely with colleagues in Institutional Advancement to support donor stewardship of trustees and emeritus trustees. The Secretary is the liaison between the Board Chair, the President’s office, senior executive officers and the board members; the focal point for communication with the Board, facilitating the flow of information to and among the trustees, senior management and the College’s constituencies; and confidential staff to a number of board committees.
Coach, ASOC Club Sports Los Angeles
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students/Slice Director, each ASOC Club Sports Coach is responsible for guiding and mentoring student participants in one of the ASOC Club Sports-Oxy Dance Team, Womyn's Rugby Club, Men's Rugby Club, Men's Ultimate, WAC Ultimate, Men's Lacrosse Club, and Oxy Gaming Guild. The ASOC Club Sports Coach is charged with developing and implementing training programs, organizing and leading practices, and coaching teams during games and tournaments.
ASOC Sport's Club Trainer Los Angeles
At ASOC Club Sports practices and competition, the Club Sports Trainer serves in preventing, diagnosing, and treating muscle and bone injuries and illnesses; applying protective or injury-preventive devices, such as tape, bandages, and braces, recognize and evaluate injuries, and provide first aid or emergency care. Assistant Coach, Softball Los Angeles
This person reports to the Head Coach and is responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the program, to include, but not limited to: coaching, scheduling, conditioning, contest preparation, scouting, practice planning and execution, fundraising, purchasing and care of equipment, planning and supervision of team travel, and monitoring the personal, academic and athletic development of student athletes in their program. This position is the first line of support for Occidental community members for help with technology problems and questions about IT services. The Coordinator projects a professional and friendly attitude; applies an understanding and knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and information technology services to assist internal customers with their computer problems. This position provides assistance through our ticketing service portal and by telephone, email and face-to-face consultation, and is responsible for escalating helpdesk calls to appropriate ITS staff for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up. The Coordinator exercises judgment within defined policies when solving problems, and recommend and create policies and procedures for dealing with new assignments.
