Residential Night Advisor Los Angeles
Reporting to the Director, the Residential Night Advisor supports approximately 70 high school students from Belmont, Franklin, Lincoln, Sotomayor, and Wilson High Schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District during a 6-week summer educational program at Occidental College. The Residential Night Advisor involves overseeing students' safety, ensuring compliance with Upward Bound regulations, and providing guidance through overnight hall monitoring in assigned residence halls. The Residential Night Advisor is responsible for maintaining a secure and supportive environment to foster students' academic and personal growth.
Resident Advisor Los Angeles
Reporting to the Director, the Resident Advisor oversees, mentors, and provides academic support to approximately seventy (70) high school students from Belmont, Franklin, Lincoln, Sotomayor, and Wilson High Schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Resident Advisor is responsible for a group of twelve to fourteen (12-14) students and plays a vital role in guiding them through academic and residential experience. The Resident Advisor will live in the residence hall for six (6) weeks, providing a supportive and structured environment to foster student success and personal growth. Additionally, Resident Advisors assist with daily operations, serve as role models, and ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the duration of the program.
Instructor Los Angeles
Reporting to the Director, the Instructor will teach a range of core subjects, including Mathematics, English, Science, and a Foreign Language, to students in grades 9 through 12. This role requires the development and delivery of engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, as well as the ability to assess student performance.
