The Associate Director of Student Conduct and Restorative Practices is a mid-level 12-month position responsible for the overall administration of the College’s student conduct system, and for the development and planning of restorative practices to enhance the student co-curricular experience. The Associate Director will provide leadership to campus hearing officers from various areas of campus and assist in the coordination of the campus response to conduct related matters. As a member of the Residential Education and Housing Services Department, the associate director will also play a key role in developing assessment initiatives that support the student residential experience, and support the Division of Student Affairs by serving in the Dean On-Call Emergency Response Rotation. |

As a representative of the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) to departments across the College, the Marketing Manager must also be a brand ambassador for Oxy helping to ensure our work is on message visually and in the written word.
The OMC tells the stories of Occidental College. We elevate the College and its mission by partnering with the campus community to chronicle the achievements of our students, faculty and alumni.
We communicate to external audiences such as prospective students, parents, institutions and media and internal audiences such as faculty, students, staff and alumni. Above all, we develop and implement effective communication strategies in order to support academic and administrative functions of the College and support the College’s mission and strategic plans. |

The Occidental College Child Development Center serves children 2-5 years of age. It is a developmentally-appropriate, play-based, child-centered, full-day program. The Assistant Preschool Teacher/Morning Floater reports to the Director. This assisting role includes working with Lead Teachers to plan and implement an educational program that meets the developmental needs of the whole child, delivered through a developmentally-appropriate, play-based, emergent curriculum. The Assistant Preschool Teacher/Morning Floater must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team of early childhood educators, as well as establish and maintain respectful partnerships with parents. The Vantuna Research Group at Occidental College is seeking a Research Assistant to assist with its extensive grant-funded field programs. We research nearshore marine systems throughout the Southern California Bight and work on a variety of studies including MPA research, rocky reef restoration, NPDES monitoring, and long-term monitoring of rocky reefs. Responsibilities include the ability to accurately interpret and follow established guidelines and procedures, and collect accurate data, as well as assisting in field and office activities. This position requires the employee to travel to off-campus sites, and to work evenings, weekends or on multi-day trips when necessary. This person will integrate with the current staff and student researchers and reports to the Assistant Director. The initial full-time appointment will be made for one year, with possibility of extension based on the availability of external grant funding. |
