Reporting to the Director, Alumni and Parent Engagement, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing and expanding the institution’s regional program by recruiting and supporting alumni and parent volunteers. This role also coordinates existing affinity programs and develops new initiatives to engage the Oxy community. In partnership with the Oxy Fund, the Assistant Director helps cultivate volunteers to support philanthropic efforts. Additionally, the position designs and implements programs focused on engaging young alumni.

Reporting to the Director, the Residential Tutor will provide supplemental instruction in Mathematics, English, Science, and Foreign Languages to 70 LAUSD high school students. Residential Tutors assist in assigned courses, offering academic support and guidance to enhance student learning. Additionally, they supervise students' daily activities, ensuring a positive and structured environment. Residential Tutors will reside in the residence hall for six weeks to fulfill their responsibilities.

Senior Director, Development - Major Gifts in Los Angeles
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Individual Giving, the Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts is a key member of the frontline team, focused on expanding and developing a comprehensive major gifts program at Occidental College. As a senior professional in fundraising and development, this individual serves on the Institutional Advancement Leadership Team and will oversee a small team of major gift officers. The Senior Director must demonstrate a deep understanding of various fundraising concepts, best practices, and procedures for effective fundraising. This role involves providing leadership, strategy, and planning to build a high-performing team of gift officers dedicated to securing principal and major gifts for the College. The Senior Director will play a crucial role in supporting overall fundraising success by leading by example, planning campaigns, and launching initiatives that drive private financial support for the College. Additionally, the Senior Director will exemplify the best practices in fundraising, contributing significantly to the Individual Giving team. This position is also responsible for managing and growing a select portfolio of donors and prospects while serving as a campus leader in prospect management.

Associate Director, HR Benefits in Los Angeles
Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer, the Director, Associate for HR Benefits is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the College’s employee benefits, retirement, leave of absence and workers’ compensation programs, inclusive of faculty retirement incentive plans, international faculty visa and right to work in the US programs, and various tuition assistance programs. Presents benefits analysis to a variety of constituencies. Serves as a member of the College’s TIAA/CREF Investment Committee. Ensures compliance with local, State and Federal statutory regulations.
